S05012 - PETRA DOS: Data collector won't download to program

There are several possible causes if you are having trouble downloading a data collector to a DOS version of
PETRA.

1. You are running the program through Windows. You must be in a DOS only mode for the download to
proceed correctly. If you are running Windows 95 or 98, you must Restart in DOS mode. Do not use the
MS-DOS prompt icon in Windows. To restart in DOS mode, click on the Start button, then select Shut Down,
then select Restart in MS-DOS mode.

Windows NT and 2000 do not support DOS mode so you will not be able to download to computers with these
operating systems.

2. There may be a conflict with the COM port or baud rate you have selected for the download. The baud rate
selected must match between the data collector and the program. Check to be sure these are configured
properly. Also, make sure the COM port you have designated in the program is the one you are actually
plugged into.
