What is the difference between the various units?
The Radar Recorder collects data using radar detection, rather than road tubes or loops. Data collected is
volume, speed and length classification in either a binned or per vehicle format.. It can record one or two lanes of
traffic with more than 98 percent accuracy, even in high volume situation. Data can be processed with the
TRAXPro software.
The TRAX RD Plus uses either 2 or 4 road tubes to record time-stamped data that can be processed for
volume, class, speed and gap using the TRAXPro software. It has the ability to store GPS information and has a
built-in road tube diagnostic.
The TRAX I Plus has all the abilities of the TRAX RD Plus and adds the ability to store data in a binned format,
for those looking for the greatest flexibility in data collection formats.
The TRAX III Plus uses loop detectors and/or road tubes to collect volume, binned and or basic data. It is
designed to be downloaded to our TRAXPro software and can use up to 8 loops and 8 piezos or 4 road tubes.
The TRAX Flex HS has all the abilities of the TRAX RD Plus, and increases the processing speed of the TRAX
line, to provide the highest degree of data accuracy. This allows it to collect data for speed, class and gap with
the smallest tube spacing in the world - 4 inches - using the revolutionary EZ Belt technology. It also adds USB
port download capability and the ability to directly upload firmware changes into the unit.
