What is the difference
between the Apollyon and the Radar Recorder?

The main difference is in how the recorders collect data.

The Apollyon requires the use of road tubes, which must be installed
across the road. The main advantage of the Apollyon is that since it
uses road tubes it is able to time stamp every axle during a study,
providing for great flexibility in data analysis. Included in this is the
ability to get highly accurate vehicle classification data.

The Radar Recorder uses Radar for the data collection and does
not require personnel to enter the roadway. The main advantage of
the Radar Recorder is its easy of installation. Also, since it does not
require external sensors like road tubes, it is better able to collect
data in snowy conditions when snow plows would typically disrupt
road tubes.

The data from both recorders is processed with the TRAXPro
software, so the same reports can be generated with either piece of
equipment.
