Frequently Asked Questions
What programs can you download to with GK counters? The GK counters can be download to the TAS DOS, TAS Plus DOS and TAS for Windows programs. They cannot be downloaded with the TRAXPro program.
Both units use data modules for retrieval of data and downloading. In addition, the GK 5000 can be downloaded directly to the computer.
Why won't my GK download to the software? There are several possible reasons why a GK may not download to the software.
1. If you are downloading directly from a GK 5000, make sure your settings for the download are correct in the counter. Press the asterisk (*) and eight (8) keys to check the settings. The baud rate should be set to whatever the software is set for. The data flow control should be set to 8 Bit No Parity.
2. There may be a conflict with how your software is configured.
Why do you no longer repair GK counters? The age of the GK counters has made many of the parts they use obsolete. Without these parts it is not possible to repair the counters.
