Frequently Asked Questions

What programs can the IMC-4/IMC-IV be downloaded to?
The IMC-4/IMC-IV can be download to the IMC, PETRA DOS, PETRA for Windows and PETRAPro programs. Note that the baud rate for the download of the IMC-4 must be set to
1200 in the software.

Why won't my IMC-IV download to the software?
There are several possible reasons why the IMC-IV may not download to the software.
1. You must use a standard JAMAR universal cable, with IMC adapter, for the download to work correctly. The IMC-IV has a custom configured output and will not work with a
standard serial cable.

2. The baud rate used for the download must be set the same in the IMC-IV as in the software. Note that the baud rate used for the IMC-4 download is hard wired at 1200. To set
the baud rate in the IMC-IV, tab to Dump, then press the Do key. Next, tab to Baud, press the Do key and select the proper baud rate.

3. There may be a conflict with how your software is configured. Check the
Software Support page for more details on your specific program.
