Manually Installing USB Drivers for the TRAX Apollyon
Note that installing and using the USB drivers for the TRAX Apollyon is only supported for the Windows XP or Vista operating systems. It is not
supported for Windows 98, ME or 2000.

The first time you are downloading the TRAX Apollyon to a computer using the USB port, you will need to install the drivers for it. There are two drivers
that will be installed, one right after the other. These drivers are available on this web site, on the installation CD for the TRAXPro software, and as part
of the Windows Update feature via an Internet connection.

The recommended method is to use the automatic installation using Windows Update, as described in
Installing USB Drivers for the TRAX Apollyon.
However, if you have trouble installing the drivers automatically, they can be installed manually. The following directions explain this process.

First, if you have not already done so, download and unzip the the drivers by
clicking here.

Once the drivers have been downloaded and unzipped, connect a USB cable to your computer and then to the USB Download Port of the Apollyon.
The Windows 'Found New Hardware' message will pop up,
referencing USB Serial Converter, then the Found New Hardware
Wizard will appear.

One of the features of Windows XP and Vista is to use your
Internet connection to search the Windows Update web site for
any available drivers for USB devices you connect to your
computer, like the TRAX Apollyon. If you have not used this
feature before, you'll first see a screen like the one shown here
when you first connect the Apollyon.
As mentioned, the drivers for the Apollyon are available through
this feature, but if you're reading these directions it means you
have had trouble using the automatic installation. So, in this case,
select the last option,
No, not this time and click Next.

After you click Next you'll see the screen shown here.

This screen is used to tell Windows where to look for the drivers it
needs. Since we are not going to be installing the drivers
automatically, select the second option,
Install from a list or
specific location
and click Next.

IMPORTANT: When connecting the USB cable to your
Apollyon, be sure to plug into the
USB Download
Port
(not the USB Memory Port) as shown below. The
USB Memory Port should only be used for USB Flash
Drives. Also be sure that no USB Flash Drive is
plugged into the USB Memory Port while you are
trying to use the USB Download Port.
