What is JPDA? JPDA is free interface software for JAMAR equipment, including the TRAX line of traffic data recorders and the Scanner people counters. As the name implies, the JPDA software is designed to be run on a PDA.
What is the current versions of JPDA? The current version of JPDA is 1.1.4.
How do I check my version? When you run JPDA, select Menu, then select About.
What kind of PDAs does JPDA support? JPDA runs on Pocket PC based PDAs, with Windows Mobile 2003 or 5.0 operating systems. It does not support Pocket PC 2000 or 2002 OS, Palm PDAs or SmartPhone operating systems.
How is the data transferred from JPDA? The data you read is stored in a temporary file on your PDA. You can read as many counters and studies as your PDA memory allows (normally a lot). Bring the PDA back to the office, put the PDA in the cradle and make sure Active Sync software is running. You can then run either the TRAXPro program (recommended for data from TRAX recorders) or the free JRead program (recommended for data from Scanners) on your PC to copy the data from the PDA for processing.
