April 25, 2007 - An updated version of WinRAC Plus, the software for use with our RAC Plus II & III distance

New WinRAC Plus software now available
December 20, 2005 - The WinRAC Plus software is the new interface program for use with the RAC Plus II
distance measuring instrument (DMI). This program replaces the older WinRAC software, which was originally
introduced in 2000 for use with RAC-200 DMI. The new WinRAC Plus will work with both the RAC Plus II and the
older RAC-200.
Survey data stored in the RAC can be downloaded into WinRAC Plus for analysis and reporting. In addition, the
program can be used to receive data in real time from the RAC while in the field. More details...

Software Update - PETRAPro version 1.1.3 now available
January 18, 2005 - An updated version of the PETRAPro software is now available for download from the
software updates page. This new version adds some additional features and contains fixes for a few bugs found
by users after the initial release of the program. A complete list of changes can be found at the conclusion of
the Read Me file included with the installation.
New PETRAPro software now available
December 09, 2004 - The PETRAPro software is the new standard for data analysis software used with the
JAMAR hand-held data collectors. This program replaces the older PETRA for Windows software, which was
originally introduced in 1998 and quickly became an industry standard. PETRAPro offers new features and
improvements to the older PETRA for Windows software.
Data can be downloaded from a JAMAR data collector or manually entered. A variety of reporting options are
available and the data can also be exported into numerous other programs. More details...
New Saturation Flow module available in PETRA for Windows
December 10, 2003 - Saturation Flow Rate data can now be analyzed with the PETRA for Windows software
using the 3.3.1 version of the program. Saturation Flow Rate studies now add to the other types of data that can
be processed with PETRA, including Turning Movements, Stop Sign Delay, Signalized Intersection Delay, Gap,
Classification and Spot Speed. All of this data can be collected electronically for easy download using a JAMAR
TDC-8 hand-held data collector.
A saturation flow rate is defined as the number of vehicles that can pass through an intersection from one
approach in one hour, if the signal light were green for the entire hour. Using the TDC-8 and PETRA program
simplifies the process of collecting and analyzing this data. Up to four lanes of data can be analyzed for one
approach to an intersection. Detailed reports can be produced that will provide not only the saturation flow rate,
but also signal timings, arrival type and lost time.

Missouri DOT awards JAMAR annual contract
March 22, 2002 - The Missouri Department of Transportation has awarded JAMAR an annual contract to supply
the DOT with RAC Distance Measuring Instruments. This contract, which covers all statewide DOT locations, is
in effect from April 1, 2002 to March 31, 2003.
Ohio DOT awards JAMAR two-year contract
March 14, 2002 - The Ohio Department of Transportation has awarded JAMAR a two-year contract to supply
the DOT with RAC Distance Measuring Instruments. This contract, which covers all statewide DOT locations, is
in effect from May 1, 2002 to April 30, 2004.
Utah DOT awards JAMAR three-year contract, with two-year option
July 31, 2001 - The Utah Department of Transportation has awarded JAMAR a three-year contract to supply the
DOT with RAC Distance Measuring Instruments. This contract, which covers all statewide DOT locations, is in
effect from July 16, 2001 to July 15, 2004, with options to extend the contract until July 15, 2006.

Missouri DOT awards JAMAR annual contract
March 22, 2002 - The Missouri Department of Transportation has awarded JAMAR an annual contract to supply
the DOT with RAC Distance Measuring Instruments. This contract, which covers all statewide DOT locations, is
in effect from April 1, 2002 to March 31, 2003.
Ohio DOT awards JAMAR two-year contract
March 14, 2002 - The Ohio Department of Transportation has awarded JAMAR a two-year contract to supply
the DOT with RAC Distance Measuring Instruments. This contract, which covers all statewide DOT locations, is
in effect from May 1, 2002 to April 30, 2004.
Utah DOT awards JAMAR three-year contract, with two-year option
July 31, 2001 - The Utah Department of Transportation has awarded JAMAR a three-year contract to supply the
DOT with RAC Distance Measuring Instruments. This contract, which covers all statewide DOT locations, is in
