FREE Portable Interface Software for the Radar Recorder
Pocket Collect is a free, PDA-based interface program for the Radar Recorder.
Once you arrive at the site, simply connect your PDA to your Radar Recorder
using the interface cable. The program will automatically connect to the recorder
and display the current status of the unit. Once connected, you can view data as
it is recorded in real time, setup the parameters of the recorder and download
any stored data.
Data retrieved by Pocket Collect can be transferred to a PC and then analyzed by
the VDA2 software.

Pocket Collect is a free, PDA-based interface program for the Radar Recorder.

Features of Pocket Collect
View the Current Status of the Radar Recorder
Once you connect to the Radar Recorder, the Pocket Collect program will show you the
current status of the unit. This includes the start and end time and date of the data currently
stored in memory, the format of the data, the battery voltage and other information.
View Data in Real Time as it is Recorded
When you are connected to the Radar Recorder, the LiveView features lets you actually see
data as it is being recorded. The speed and length of each individual vehicle is shown, along
with the signal strength, allowing you to verify that the unit is set up correctly.
Configure Settings of the Radar Recorder
The Pocket Collect program can be used to configure a variety of setting for the Radar
Recorder. This includes selecting the type of data you want to record, entering a site code for
the data and the recording interval.
Retrieve Data from Memory
As the name implies, the Pocket Collect software allows you to collect the data from your
Radar Recorder by downloading it to the memory of your PDA. Multiple files can be stored in
the PDA, then later transferred to a your desktop computer for analysis.
