What are ScanPDA and ScanRead?
ScanPDA is free interface software for The Scanner, an automatic data recorder that uses infrared and acoustic sensors to record
pedestrians, bicyclists and more. As the name implies, the ScanPDA software is designed to be run on a PDA.
ScanRead is a free utility program that is used to transfer the data from your PDA to a laptop or desktop computer. Once
transferred, the data can be output by ScanRead into several formats, including an Excel spreadsheet.

What are the current versions of ScanPDA and ScanRead?
The current version of ScanPDA is 1.0.1.
The current version of ScanRead is 1.0.5.

How do I check my version?
When you run ScanPDA, the version number is listed at the top of the first screen that appears. In ScanRead, the version number
is listed on the first screen that appears when you run the program.

What kind of PDAs does ScanPDA support?
ScanPDA currently runs on Pocket PC based PDAs. It does not currently support Palm PDAs. In general, almost any Pocket PC
version PDA made in the last couple of years should work. Regardless of brand, Pocket PC PDAs operate very much the same
since they run the same operating system.

When I start ScanPDA, I'm prompted to activate the Crossfire Client Software. What is this?
The Crossfire Client is a utility program required for ScanPDA to run. More details...
