Note that installing and using the USB drivers for the TRAX Flex HS is only supported for the Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 or 8 operating systems. It is not supported for Windows 98, ME or 2000. We recommend using the standard Serial Port Download for these operating systems.

Below are instructions for downloading the drivers for using a USB port on your computer to download data from the USB Download port of the TRAX Flex HS. We suggest printing these instructions for quick reference during the downloading process.

IMPORTANT: Note that these drivers are automatically available when you first connect during the Found New Hardware Wizard through the Windows Update web site. This is the recommended method for installing the drivers. Refer to Automatically Installing USB Drivers for the TRAX Flex HS for more details on this process.


However, if you have trouble installing the drivers automatically, they can be installed manually by first downloading the drivers below.


The file you will be downloading is USB Drivers for TRAX Flex HS - XP or This is a zip file that contains all the files necessary to load the USB drivers for the TRAX. The file size is 729 KB.


To download the file, click on the Download selection below. When the File Download screen appears, select Save and make note of where the file is being saved. Once the file is downloaded, double-click on it and unzip the files to a folder on your computer. Make a note of which folder the files have been unzipped.

Once you have downloaded and unzipped the files to a folder on your computer, refer to Installing USB Drivers for the TRAX Flex HS for further instructions on how to install the USB drivers.


Firmware Downloads for the TRAX Flex HS

To install the new firmware, download the file to your computer, then unzip it. Next, run the TRAXPro software (note that version 2.0 or higher of TRAXPro is required) and go to the Tools menu. Select TRAX Update and click on the Load New Firmware tab. Set the Path to the location where you unzipped the downloaded file and then connect your TRAX to the computer in the same way you would if you were downloading data. Once set, click the Update Firmware button and the process will begin.

To check the version of firmware in your TRAX, turn the unit on. The firmware version will be displayed at the bottom right of the first screen that appears
